3 POINT CATEGORY 0, I, II HITCHES TO 2” RECEIVER ADAPTER

This versatile drawbar mounted adapter fits tractors equipped with 3-point category 0, I or II hitches. It accepts standard truck receiver inserts letting you tow virtually anything behind your tractor. Variable hydraulic 3-point hitch height adjustments, lets you quickly and easily pick and place boats and trailers in your yard or storage buildings without the need to adjust the trailer tongue jack. Attachment point is further behind the tractor’s rear wheels than the rigid drawbar allowing for tighter turns and improved maneuverability while matching the appropriate trailer tongue height to keep the trailer level.

It is intended for transporting trailers in off-road situations that do not exceed 10,000 lbs. combined trailer and payload capacity and do not exceed 1,000 lbs. trailer tongue weight.

Exclusive to the Bad River design is our “patent applied for” safety chain feature. Most 3-point tractor hitches do not provide downward force. With other hitch adapters, attention needs to be made to avoid negative tongue weight conditions where the hitch could rise unexpectedly and cause injury or damage. Several examples are as follows:
• If a small utility trailer is loaded at the rear tailgate behind the wheels, the weight imbalance from just several bags of fertilizer, cement blocks or if one steps on the rear will cause the hitch to unexpectedly and quickly rise.
• If using the ramp tailgate of an enclosed trailer without using the jack stands at the rear, walking up the ramp can cause the hitch to swiftly and unexpectedly rise.
• If using a dump trailer, during the unload mode, the center of gravity shifts and the trailer tongue will lurch upward.
• If backing a trailer at an angle into a building with a slightly raised floor as the tire hits this obstruction, the trailer can jack-knife as the hitch moves up rapidly. When this occurs, the rear of the trailer moves downward. Many boat owners have bent a prop or have had worse damage when that happens!

The above situations can be remedied by using our exclusive safety chain feature.

It is mandatory to use the safety chain when trailering on uneven terrain or hauling unbalanced, unstable and/or shifting loads. Safety chain rigidly attaches to the swinging/rigid drawbar on one end and hooks in a notch on the adapter upright near the top link on the other. Just position the hitch to the desired height and attach tightest chain link in the upright notch (See photo 3-notch in horizontal “H” bar frame for attachment point of chain link) and upward hitch stroke is limited. Any excess chain length fits conveniently adjacent to the upright. The hitch must not be raised once the safety chain as been attached as a limiting upward movement or damage may occur!

Other uses for the receiver hitch adapter include insertion of a cargo carrier to transport items in areas where trailering is difficult such as rough terrain or when insufficient room exists to back out. Another use is in conjunction with the new Rear Ballast Weight kit. This new product provides rear weight ballast for compensation when your front end loader (FEL) is in use. It can be easily removed to reduce the tractor’s footprint when not required or driving on delicate terrain like wet lawns and particularly over septic systems.

The BR70212 hitch receiver adapter is iMatch™ Quick-Hitch compatible. The hitch receiver adapter and horizontal drawbar that it attaches to are supplied separately.
